The leader of the Kadowaki clan is killed by Hayamada and Maruyama is hired to avenge the death of the Mafia chief. Young Taneda is sent to aid the killer in this mission and, gradually becomes fond of his mentor whose health is threatened by cancer. Meanwhile, orphan Miyuki decides to leave school, even despite the objections of her teacher. Her father had killed her mother and set fire to both, and for this reason, the girl felt she should follow her own path. Soon after Mayuki is resting on a park bench when she is approached by Hamayada who intends to steal the motorcycle. The girl asks that she be shot in the heart and the thief falters. They become friends until another tragedy marks their lives.
