Rio de Janeiro, 1964. After experiencing the end of a passion, G.H., a sculptor from Copacabana`s elite, decides to tidy up her apartment, starting with the service room. The day before, the maid had quit, G.H. comes across a huge cockroach that reveals her own horror at the world, a reflection of a society full of prejudices against the beings they elect as subordinates. Facing the insect, G.H. lives his existential way of the cross. The experience narrates the loss of her identity and makes us question all the social conventions that have imprisoned women to this day. Based on the novel by Clarice Lispector.
