She studied biophysics and lived in Japan for two years before entering the Netherlands Film Academy. Stefanie directed the short films “Clan” (2016), “Harbour” (2017) and “Eyes on the Road” (2019) —all of them premiered at the Locarno Film Festival. She was a participant at Berlinale Talents 2019. “Milk” is her first feature film.
