Winter Soldier (1972)
Sobre o filme
Remastered and restored after almost 35 years of oblivion. Soldiers that have fought in Vietnam narrate the atrocities they have committed or suffered there. A young John Kerry, the Senator defeated by George W. Bush in the last election, also relates his story in Vietnam. The soldiers narrate the destructions of villages, the torture, the rapes and the violence against war prisoners. In 1971 the group Vietnam Veterans Against the War carried out the investigation, called Winter Soldier Investigation, in Detroit. More than 125 soldiers took part in the meeting. The documentary was exhibited in several European countries, in theaters, festivals and in television, but it was ignored in the US.
