Alim is a Canadian Moslem who works as a photographer in London, where he can peacefully assume his homosexuality and have a happy relationship with Giles. But all this peacefulness ends when Nuru, Alim’ devoted mother, decides to pay a visit to her son. Not having the heart to tell his mother the truth about his life, Alim decides that it‚Äôd be easier to convince Delia, Giles‚Äô sister to pretend to be his fiancé during his mother stay. His mother proves to be a tough person, not only because she had come to drag Alim back to Canada for his cousin marriage, but also to convince her son that it’ already time for him to get married and give her the grandchildren she believes she deserves to have.
