During a research expedition, a group of Korean archeologists finds a skeleton believed to be that of Jin-Tae, a young man killed during the Korean War. To identify the remains, they call the victim’s brother, old Lee Jin-Seok. From then on, the film goes back to the beginning of the conflict when it broke out in 1950. Jin-Seok and Jin-Tae are two young men who suddenly find themselves cast in the middle of a brutal and bloody war, quite different from the peaceful routine of their everyday rural lives. Little by little, the war changes Jin-Tae’s mind and his actual role in the conflict will be profoundly shocking for his brother.
