Final Solution (2004)

A documentary on the tragedy that occurred in the state of Gujarat, India, in February, 2002 in which 58 people died as a result of an outbreak of fire in a train carriage. Almost all were activists of the Hindu World Counsel, one of the organizations that make up the movements that uphold the identification between Hinduism and the Indian nation. After the accident, news spread that this would have been an attack by Moslems. As a result, a series of attacks to Moslems in various locations in Gujarat was triggered resulting in death, and destruction of housing and stores. Final Solution documents the atrocities suffered by Moslem families and follows up on the political use of the episode by Hindu candidates in subsequent elections. The film ends focusing on a series of situations that involve the marginalizing of the Moslems. The film is forbidden in India.
