Sobre o filme

Autumn of 1978. All would seem quiet in up-country Sweden. Beyond, however, the country and the world are undergoing great transformations. Tennis champion Björn Borg is acclaimed as a national hero, the country engages in heated arguments over use of nuclear energy, the punks are in evidence in England and preach a “non-future” for the world. For the Bendrick family, all of that is very distant. Bosse, his wife Mona and their three children (youngsters Ola and Katta and Morgan, a boy) live the uneventful life of the middle class in a house that Bosse himself has built. They also have two cars and a small motor boat. A closer look will show that all is no more than appearances that, just as in the case of the house built by Bosse, are about to collapse. The world of the Bendricks has not yet crumbled because all of them lead parallel lives. Mona, for example, meets up again with a former love from her youth. Bosse hides the fact that the house is caving in. Ola is in a gloomy period of her adolescence. Katia discovers sexuality and falls in love for the first time. Morgan only observes the catastrophe that draws closer.
