Sobre o filme
A portrait of Hans Christian Andersen in his youth, as yet striving for success in Kopenhagen as a singer, dancer, and actor. At the age of 17, he gains admittance to the renowned Meisling College, outside Kopenhagen. A director of the Theater Royal who had read one of his plays and recognized his great talent, approached King Frederik VI, who was equally impressed by his precocious gift as an author, and provided him with a scholarship to the school. Brought up under severe discipline, young Andersen discovers his gift for children?s literature and enchanted the world with his children?s stories as popular then as they are today. 2005 marks the two hundredth anniversary of Andersen?s birth.
