Jack and Hank live in the same city and work together in an university, one of them teaching literature, the other, writing. They share some interests and both have kids. But their family structures are completely different. Jack’s house is chaotic, in spite of the efforts made by his absent-minded wife, Terry, who does everything she can to conciliate the housework with the care of both kids. Hank’s wife, Edith, on the other hand, keeps her home impeccable but doesn’t give both her daughter and husband much attention. Her husband is now suffering from a writer’s block. The two couples often go out together to have dinner, to talk and laugh, as friends use to do. The problem is that, lately, Jack and Edith have been disappearing from view at the same time. When Terry starts to notice something strange, the relationship among these friends becomes more complicated.
