Sobre o filme

Pregnant and feeling traumatized, a 16-year-old girl called Mila ends up in a remote village on the border of Bulgaria on the run from a dangerous man who is chasing her. When she gets there, it doesn’t take her very long to meet the only local residents of the decadent town: a group of nine elders who make a living from an illegal marijuana field that belongs to the man Mila is running from. Even knowing this, she decides to stay in the village, and from then on it will never be the same again. During her stay, she thinks over her past, which attracts and repels her. She also ponders over her present life, which smothers her and at the same time gives her wings to fly. And she muses over her future, onto which she projects her nightmares and dreams. Little by little, she discovers that in order to find herself she needs to look the people around her in the eye. The film was awarded Best Film at the Sarajevo Festival.
