Sobre o filme

Anorexic supermodels, closeted lesbians or plain simply lonely people: everyone needs a shoulder to cry on. Being a listener is psychoanalyst Lorraine’s job. She believes most people’s problems are deeply rooted in the mother figure. She has always focused on people’s problems but time has come for her to face her own. Lorraine’s is a devoted Christian and suffers from Alzheimer’s. Her memory is failing her and she has no control over her bodily functions anymore. Lorraine backs her mother’s treatment, but it’s her sister, Nina, who effectively looks after their sick mother. With her time marred by her nursing duties, Nina sees her dreams of becoming a famous singer and having a steady relationship crumble. While their mother requires as much cares as a child, the sibling relation between Lorraine and Nina begins to slowly disintegrate.
