Sobre o filme

The first film directed by brothers Joel and Ethan Coen is re-released in a new print, without any cuts or new scenes added. This new fully restored version has been digitally enhanced and has a new sound mix and a small opening prologue. The film tells the story of Julian Marty, a Texas bar owner who suspects his wife is cheating him with one of his employees, the waiter Ray. To make sure, he hires the unscrupulous detective Visser, who follows Julian’s wife and confirms his client’s suspicion. Julian and Visser make a new deal: the lovers are to be killed while the husband is away from town. Boasting an intricate plot full of twists and turns, Blood Simple blew the audiences’ minds when it was screened at the 9th Mostra and hasn’t lost its initial impact.
