Rebecca is a young American who has been living in Jerusalem now for some months. All was ready for her wedding, but she decided to break off her engagement. She picks up Hanna?s taxi and refuses to get out of the car, or be dropped anywhere, in spite of the insistence of the driver. Hanna has an appointment in the "free zone", the name given to a region in Jordan, on the boundaries of Irak, Syria, and Saudi Arabia, where people of all nationalities go who wish to do business. Hanna is on her way to collect a debt from a man they call "The American". However, when she arrives at the site arranged for payment of the amount owed, Hanna, instead, finds a Palestine woman, Leila, who assures her the man is no longer there. Hanna is livid. Forced to co-exist, the three women - Rebecca, Hanna, and Leila, come face to face with their differences.
