Anke is 18 years old and lives with his mother in a small town to the north of Germany. She has never got over the death of her father who committed suicide when she was only five. As from then she became introverted and aggressive. Without a friend, Anke divides her time between quarreling at home and caring for the dog that was her father?s. When her mother tells her about a secret affair she is having with the vicar, Anke decides to leave town as quickly as possible. The answer would seem to lie with Ulf, an excentric musician who plans to leave the village on board a boat abandoned in his garage. Happy because she has finally met someone who understands her, the girl becomes obsessed by her savior.
