Mamá is 80 years old and her son Jaime is 50. Both live worlds apart. Jaime is married and has two kids, a beautiful house, two cars, and a mother-in-law to look after. Mamá lives alone and has always led a modest life. One day, however, the unexpected happens. Jaime is made redundant due to his company’s restructuring, and his difficult situation leads him to make drastic decisions. One of them is to sell the mother’s apartment to pay for his house mortgage and the kids’ school fees in arrears. When gets to his mother’s place to give her the sad news, Jaime is taken aback. Mamá is engaged to a man thirteen years younger and has plans to get married. Obviously, she has no intention of giving up her apartment
