Cachimba (2004)
Sobre o filme
The adventures and misadventures of Marcos, a middle-aged banker whose only aspiration it is to have intercourse with Hilda, his naïve bride-to-be, is narrated in a tone that is half ironic comedy and part delirium. With this sole objective in mind, Marcos asks his beloved to accompany him for a weekend to a solitary beach resort in mid-winter. He cannot imagine, however, that there, face to face with the sea, he will, for the first time, discover a sense to life.
Inside an old house, Marcos comes across a collection of paintings of great artistic value, supposedly of the authorship of an unknown Chilean painter of the thirties. The paintings are under the "care" of an alcoholic who, in his youth, had been entrusted with guarding the paintings. Marcos then feels he must assume the mission of leaving the discovery of this new artistic legacy as a heritage to the nation. For this to come to pass, however, he will have to face obscure characters interested in taking advantage of the situation.
