Documentary that investigates the relationship of love and hate between the class of artists and critics. A negative review may condemn a career, but a good one is able to raise a name to glory, and gives the artist the sensation he has been understood. Debate between artists and critics is analyzed in chapters by means of codes of love: encounter, desire, seduction, wait, disillusion, etc. The production brings a series of interviews with filmmakers, critics and artists, among whom are Atom Egoyan, David Cronenberg, Wim Wenders, Pedro Almodóvar, Hany Abu-Assad, Vicente Aranda, Mika Kaurismäki, Ken Loach, Abderrrahmane Sissako, Danis Tanovic, Elia Suleiman, Henri Béhar, Michel Ciment, Jean-Michel Frodon, Todd McCarthy, Alexander Walker, Andrei Plakhov and Caetano Veloso.
