Ruy Duarte de Carvalho, poet, novelist, and filmmaker, discovers that his father left papers in the Namib Desert that could help him unravel a mystery that occurred in 1923. Following his search for the “Englishman’s papers,” this epic journey spans from the turn of the 19th century to the end of the 20th century, at the magnificent landscapes of southern Angola. Based on the trilogy “Os Filhos de Próspero” by Ruy Duarte de Carvalho, the film was written by José Eduardo Agualusa.
