42-year-old Victor finally comes out of the closet only to realize that he is too old for the gay dating market, while his sister Annika, an opera diva, receives a terminal diagnosis and reimagines her life and the different paths she could have taken. Their grandma Joke on the other hand is sick and tired of life and is desperately seeking for an end, however no one will assist her in this goal. For 10-year-old Timo it is quite the opposite, he wants to live, but is racing against time to check off his bucket list, believing he only has one week left to live. His parents, Hannah and Musa, are lost in a loveless marriage filled with secrets, struggling to find themselves and each other. Although they are different people, they are all searching for the same, near impossible thing: the perfect fulfilment of life, while navigating the unpredictable twists and turns it throws their way.
