Mona, an 11-year-old girl, and her family left Syria in search of a new life in Berlin, Germany. The beginning is tough for the young girl, who doesn’t speak German, is bullied by her classmates at the new school, and misses aunt Helin. However, Mona is an excellent soccer player and soon joins the girls’ team, things are not getting easier at once. Mona is quickly identified as an outsider and playing in a team with the other girls turns out to be more difficult than expected. Each of them is fighting their own battles but one thing soon becomes clear: they will only win if they all play together.
