Fida grew up during the war in Beirut in the 1980s, immersed in the “red hell” her grandmother used to talk about. The trivialization of death made her question the value of life and the meaning of the war, which seemed never-ending and was similar to so many others. Using miniatures and models, she meets with militiamen and confronts her childhood vision with theirs.
Winner of the MUBI award for debut feature and of the junior jury first prize at the Locarno Film Festival.
