The documentary follows the daily lives of Argentine cowboys and cowgirls, known as gauchos. These men and women, of various ages and backgrounds, live on the edge of the modern world. In a community suspended in time, they float between past and present, dream and reality. They fight to preserve their freedom and resist an invasion of modernity, which seeks to replace the bonds of community and connection with the sterile uniformity that has spread across the globe. Winner of the U.S. documentary special jury award at the Sundance Film Festival.
