Arindam Mukherjee is a famous actor of popular Bengali movies on the brink of his first flop. When Mukherjee boards an overnight train to Delhi to accept an award in New Delhi, everyone recognizes him. A journalist approaches him seeking an exclusive interview, which initiates a conversation. Through the bond that develops between them, the hero reviews his actor’s life, his moments of strength and moments of crisis, and he is stricken by a doubt, which sends the actor reeling down a path of self-examination. Winner of a special mention at the 1966 Berlin International Film Festival.
