In Iran, Tarlan is a retired dance teacher who witnesses the death of her friend Rana, murdered by her husband, an influential government figure. When the police refuse to investigate the crime, Tarlan must decide whether to succumb to political pressure or risk her life and reputation in the pursuit of justice.
