In the early hours of a cold morning, at a remote train station in India, three lives are changed forever. Jhumpa Mahato, a simple woman with a dark past, has her five-month-old baby ripped from her arms. Photographer Raman is the sole witness to the incident. He feels deep empathy for Jhumpa —unlike his spoiled younger brother, Gautam, who arrives at the station to pick him up after the event and shows no compassion for her. The brothers’ fragile relationship is further strained when they become involved in Jhumpa’s search for her child. Together with her, they navigate the dark underbelly of society, leaving behind their sheltered, privileged lives to confront the harshness of reality.
