Following the German bombing of Belgrade in 1941, Marko gives refuge to twenty people in the cellar of his old house, where he also keeps an arms stash used by the resistance movement which he heads together with his best friend Blacky. Blacky is in love with the famous Belgrade actress Natalija but things are complicated by the fact that Marko is also infatuated with her. In this place, they will live, love, party and make weapons. Two decades after the end of the war, Marko is still pretending it continues, lying to keep the benefit the traffic and Blacky and Natalja underground.
