A landmark of Soviet avant-garde cinema, the film follows the routine of a city during the 1920s, making use of all types of camera techniques that were possible at the time. A masterpiece by Dziga Vertov, the documentary offers a portrait of urban and cinematographic innovations.
The film will be shown with the musical score composed by Luiz Henrique Xavier, composer, flutist and professor of composition, theory and analysis at the music department of the Art Institute at the State University of Campinas (Unicamp).
The production, recording and mixing of the new music score of the “Man with a Movie Camera’ was made in the Estúdio Mandora and the mastering 5.1 in the JLS Studio - Facilidades Sonoras.
