During its two weeks, the 49th São Paulo International Film Festival screened 373 titles from 80 countries, in 52 cinemas, cultural venues and CEUs throughout the city of São Paulo.

On the evening of 30 October, at a ceremony held in the Sala Petrobras na Mostra, a space specially set up at the Cinemateca Brasileira for the festival, the winners of this edition were announced.

The Jury of the Mostra chose the winners from among the 12 films in the New Directors Competition that received the most votes from the public during the first week of the 49th Mostra

The Audience Award and Critics' Prize were also handed out, in addition to the Netflix Prize, Brada Prize, Abraccine Prize and Paradiso Prize, as well the Prisma Queer Prize.
