In its 48th edition, Mostra screens 83 Brazilian films: works by new directors, renowned filmmakers, restored feature movies, and more.

The section Mostra Brasil —a contemporary panorama of the country`s audiovisual production— includes 58 feature films, while other four films are part of the New Directors Competition.

Among the classics, rediscovered works, and restored films are titles such as "Auto de Vitória", by Geraldo Sarno, "Também Somos Irmãos", by José Carlos Burle, "One Is Few, Two Could Fill", by Odilon Lopez, and "Abismu", by Rogério Sganzerla.

The program also includes the series "Aqueles Dias", by Hélio Goldsztejn, and "Children of the Church Steps", by Luis Lomenha and Márcia Faria, as well as "Viva o Cinema! Uma História da Mostra de São Paulo", by Marina Person and Gustavo Rosa de Moura, which shows Mostra’s history.

In the 1st "Mostrinha," a section dedicated to children and youth, the festival presents new animations —"Abah and His Band", by Humberto Avelar, and "Noah’s Ark", by Sérgio Machado and Alois Di Leo— as well as films like "Castelo-Rá-Tim-Bum" and "The Nutty Boy", which have enchanted generations of young Brazilians.
