A segment of the 48th Mostra will be dedicated to childhood and youth, considering the new generation of viewers who are beginning to attend cinemas and festivals, with the realization of the 1st Mostrinha, which presents 22 titles.

Opening Session

With an opening event at Sala São Paulo on October 17th, at 2:45 PM, the festival will screen the animation "Noah’s Ark", by Sérgio Machado and Alois Di Leo, a co-production between Brazil and India.

The opening session is free, and tickets will be distributed this Sunday, October 13th, starting at noon at Conjunto Nacional (Avenida Paulista, 2073). Each person can pick up one invitation. The remaining tickets for the 1st Mostrinha cost R$ 20 (full price) and R$ 10 (half-price).

Other Highlights of the Mostrinha

India will also be represented with other titles, such as the classic "Kummatty" (1979) by Govindan Aravindan, as well as a special poster featuring the art of Satyajit Ray —who also designed the Mostra poster.

Among the contemporary productions, there are feature films presented worldwide, such as "Young Hearts", awarded at the Berlin International Film Festival, and "Living Large" and "Animal Tales of Christmas Magic", which were presented at the Annecy International Animation Festival.

The 1st Mostrinha will also celebrate three decades of the program "Castelo Rá-Tim-Bum" from TV Cultura, along with the 25th anniversary of the film based on Cao Hamburger`s series. The legacy of the great Ziraldo, cartoonist and writer, will also be honored with the screening of films about Nutty Boy, one of the author`s most beloved characters.
