After years of unruly life in Lisbon, Hugo, a jazz double bassist, decides to take a sabbatical year and return to Porto, where he hopes to find balance with his family. There, he attends a concert by Luís Stockman, a pianist recently made famous, and immediately recognizes the theme he is playing: it is the same one he’s been writing in his head for years.
