A former filmmaker works nights as an orthotist in Tehran. In the hospital’s restricted psychiatric ward, he meets a sedated patient, a political prisoner who has been institutionalized for years. Together they flee in contemporary Iran and encounter citizens across the country, all wounded by the same corrupt government and all united in their willingness to help the pair survive.
