In a small Chechen village, three young women dream about living a life they can choose. Yaha and Madina are best friends and, as Yaha’s arranged marriage looms closer, both girls hope to leave their homes and escape to the real world. In the meantime, Yaha’s older sister Heda wants to try for a divorce, but is afraid her only son will be taken away from her, such are the traditions in her culture.
