Born in São Paulo, Brazil, in 1982. Vera is a screenwriter and director. She has a bachelor’s degree in cinema from the University of São Paulo and studied screenplay writing in Cuba. Directed the short films “Spread Through the Air” (2007) and “Bond” (2008), both presented in the Critics’ Week section at the Cannes Film Festival. She also directed the feature “Restless Love” (2016). “The Battle” is her second feature film.
