Born in Amsterdam, Netherlands, in 1982. She studied at the Dutch Film and Television Academy and directed short films such as “El Mourabbi” (2007) and “Brother” (2012). She made the feature films “Hemel” (2012, 36th Mostra), winner of the Critics’ Prize in the Forum section at the Berlin Film Festival, “Zurich” (2015, 39th Mostra), also awarded in Berlin, and “Dirty God” (2019), screened in Rotterdam and Sundance film festivals.
