Born in Tehran, Iran, and raised in Australia, she is a writer and director. Studied initially architecture, and then film and television at the University of Melbourne’s Victorian College of the Arts. Among short movies and documentaries, she directed “The Phoenix” (2015), “Waterfall” (2017), “Casa Antúnez” (2017) and “Tâm” (2020). “Shayda” is her debut in the direction of a fiction feature film.
