Born in Sweden in 1988, she studied in the film department at Fridhem’s Folkhögskola, in Malmo, and graduated from the Akademi Valand’s directing training in 2016. Mika directed, among others, the short film “Mephobia Kids” (2017), and the documentary feature “Silvana” (2017). “Paradise Is Burning” is her first fiction feature film.
