Iranian-American writer, director, and producer born in New York in 1975. She studied Comparative Literature at Northwestern University, Near Eastern Studies at University of Michigan and Film Direction at New York University. Her filmography includes the short “The Day I Died” (2006), which received the Teddy Award at the Berlin International Film Festival, and the feature films, “Circumstance” (2011), winner of the Audience Award at the Sundance Film Festival, and “Viper Club” (2018).
