Born in Argentina in 1985. Benchimol studied image and sound design at the University of Buenos Aires, where he also taught screenwriting. He directed the documentaries “La Gente del Río” (2012), presented at the DOK Leipzig, and “El Espanto” (2017), awarded at the IDFA. “The Castle” is his first feature film.
