Born in Portugal in 1974. She studied film at The Superior School of Film and Theatre at FCSH-UNL, in Lisbon, and worked as a director of photography of several documentaries and feature films. Marta directed, among others, the short films “Alguém Olhará por Ti” (2005) and “Manual do Sentimento Doméstico” (2007) and the feature films “Lisboa Domiciliária” (2009), “Quem vai à Guerra” (2011), presented at the 35th Mostra, “O Medo à Espreita” (2015), awarded at the IndieLisboa, “Donzela Guerreira” (2020) and “Um Nome Para o que Sou” (2022).
