He has made numerous award winning documentaries and fictional films, including “One Day in September” (1999), winner of best documentary at the Academy Awards, “Touching the Void” (2003), “The Last King of Scotland” (2006), “My Enemy’s Enemy” (2007), “Life in a Day” (2011), “State of Play” (2009), “Marley” (2012), “Sky Ladder: The Art of Cai Guo-Qiang” (2016) and “Whitney” (2018).
