Born in Kapurthala, India, in 1980. He studied at the Satyajit Ray Film and TV Institute, where he got a degree in filmmaking. His first documentary, the short “An Actor Prepares” (2006), was in competition at the Cinéma du Réel. “Titli” (2014) marked Kanu Behl’s fictional directorial debut and was presented at the Cannes Film Festival in the section Un Certain Regard. “Agra” is his second feature film.
