Born in Nagasaki, Japan, in 1984. Matsumoto graduated from the Department of Architecture, University of Tokyo. He directed the feature films “Still Human Beings” (2012), “Embers” (2014), “Perfect Revolution” (2017) and “A Mother’s Touch” (2022).
