Escamilla is a Mexican screenplay writer, director and editor. He founded Colmena Collective, a producing company based in Mexico City. He is the director of the short film “Libélula” (2017), exhibited at the Berlin International Film Festival, and the feature film “Mostro” (2021), awarded in Locarno and Malaga film festivals. “Firedream” is his second feature film.
