Born in Dresden, Germany, in 1987. He studied photography in Leipzig and film in Halle. Matauschek is a member of the film collective FILZ, and participated in the Berlinale Talents. He directed, among others, the documentaries “Leuna” (2014) and “Habitat” (2017), presented at the Visions du Réel.
