Born in São Paulo, Brazil, in 1976. Botelho has a master’s degree in screenplay, direction, history of cinema, and criticism from Educine/CINUSP and studied art dramatic at the Escuela Internacional de Cine y Televisión, in Cuba. He works as an actor, producer and director. He made, among others, the short film “O Táxi de Escher” (2013) and the medium-length film “Crônicas de uma Cidade” (2014). “The Life that’s Left” is his first feature film.
