Born in Goiânia, Brazil, in 1979. He studied at the Escuela Internacional de Cine y Televisión, in Cuba. Director and screenwriter, Meira started his career as an assistant to Ruy Guerra in the film “O Veneno da Madrugada” (2004). He directed short films, including “Dolores” (2005), “Atlântico” (2008) and “Hoje Tem Alegria” (2010), and the awarded feature films “Two Irenes” (2017), screened in the Generation Kplus section at the Berlin International Film Festival, and “Aunt Virginia”, presented at the 47th Mostra.
