Pinheiro studied film at FAAP University, São Paulo, Brazil. Over the last 20 years, he has directed, produced, scripted and edited several short films, fiction films and feature documentaries. He directed short films like “Pencas de Bicuda” (2001), “Equê de Vuitton” (2002), “Mavamba” (2006), “Memória Morta” (2006) and “Se Pá...” (2007), in addition to the long- length documentaries “My Buddy Claudia” (2009, 36th Mostra) and “Eletronica:Mentes” (2019).
