A Chinese descendant, he was born in Malaysia in 1978. In addition to being a director, he is an art project curator. He directed the short film “The Cemetery of Courtesy” (2018), presented at the Busan Film Festival, and the feature “The Story of Southern Islet” (2020). “Snow in Midsummer” is his second feature film.
